Taste of Country Photos

Here are some of the other photos that I have taken at Taste of Country. Taste of Country is the largest country store in the Quinte area. My Mom loves shopping here. The store is in a 1830s cobblestone house. Check out the photos and let me know what you think.

Wow, you have a great eye for photography! I take it you get it from your Dad? Actually…don’t tell your Mom I said that. You know she did my header on my site, so she already did better then I did at it! My attempt had “blah” instead of words.
Hey now Sy! I don’t take a bad pic.
Great shots JD. I really like the 3rd & 4th one. You should send some of your photos in to the paper.
Nice photos…Really like the barrel full of snow!
You really should look at sending them somewhere to get published though. You do have a great talent.
Your mom sent me the link to your blog via Blogger Forum. You’ve definitely got an eye for photography. When I first started out, I took pictures of just about everything there was to take pictures of, and that’s the best way to learn. You can learn a lot about technique, composition, lighting, etc. in photography courses, but nothing compares to your own process of experimentation and practicing.
You seem to choose unusual and interesting subject matter (I particularly like the barrel), so I would try exploring interesting perspectives as well. For example, instead of shooting dead on, get way down and shoot up toward your subject, or try shooting down on it from overhead. The more you practice different angles and perspectives, the more you’ll learn and develop your own identity as a photographer.
I’m still developing my blog and adding tutorials and techniques all the time, but feel free to stop by and check it out some time. You might find the infrared tutorial (filed under Advanced Techniques) somewhat interesting. You can get some truly eerie images that way. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments - best of luck to you in your studies!
WOW, is a great description, I can see a collage of your photography, you should read my article about collages. Although, I am an interior designer and write inspirational articles…I am a frustrated phographer….you do beautiful work you should sell your work at digital express. I have an article about them on my site as well. I will visit often.
