Recently my mother and I got the privilege to go to a Christmas concert that raised money for a local Children’s Foundation. The concert began with the first Canadian idol winner Ryan Malcolm with his band Low Level Flight and The Sleddogs ended the night singing 4 songs.
I was lucky enough to meet The Sleddogs and shake hands with drummer Eric Funk, my mother bought their CD “Take Me Away” and I got it signed as well as a poster featuring the three of them Kenny Byrka, Michael Donley, and Eric Funk. I also met Ryan Malcolm of Low Level Flight.

Some of the many other performers that night are Johnny Bower who was a Goal Tender and who is in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Johnny Bower sang his song “Honky the Christmas Goose.” Another performer that night was Roz Bell who sang three songs. Two of them were his hit songs “Yesterday Man” and “Paper Cuts” from his debut album, The First Sunbeams.
