Photo Hunters - How can they drink that stuff
Published on Feb 2nd, 2007 in Photos with

I’m posting my photo hunt early and this week’s theme is gross. My parents like butter milk and I think that it is gross. I was going to post a picture of my sister’s face, but they won’t let me. I’m just joking.

I agree with you, buttermilk is gross! My son loves dragons so I often call him Dragon Boy.
I agree with you 100% that is some NASTY stuff! However, I make some WONDERFUL sugar cookies that have buttermilk in the recipe, so even though it’s nasty plain, it’s awesome in my cookies!
My Photo Hunt is HERE stop by if you can!
I’m with you, I think buttermilk is gross too!!
Hi, that is a great idea for gross. Personally, I’ve never tried it, but I’m afraid to because I will probably think the same as you, GROSS!!! LOL.
Have a great weekend,
Biker Betty
Your parents drink buttermilk?! Ewww. I’ve never actually tried it but I know that if I need buttermilk for a recipe I can make my own by adding lemon juice to regular milk. That can’t be good.
I agree, it’s pretty nasty stuff!! Gross, indeed!
I’ve never tried it either, but it just has gross written all over it. Happy weekend.
Dragonboy, I am with you on this one! I have never been able to drink or smell buttermilk. My dad drank it by the glassful! Ugh. It is good to cook with and makes great bread but that is about all it is good for! Great choice for the photo hunt!
Come visit and gross out on my fly! Hope you are having a super Saturday!
Im not a big fan of buttermilk on its own! Maybe some buttermilk biscuits or buttermilk ranch dressing! I posted my first Photo Hunt picture today! Check it out!
I thought you are supposed to bake with it, not drink it.
Mine’s up
Eww! I’ve never liked buttermilk either. I use the powdered kind if I need it for baking.
Yuck, I would never drink that stuff, but I have cooked with it before and it makes good cookies.
I have not had any buttermilk in years. The reason… it is just too darn gross.
My dad has always loved buttermilk and so does my mom, but I agree with you that it is really nasty stuff to drink. Now it IS good in cornbread and other things they cook, but you don’t have to taste that sour milk taste or feel that slimy chunky texture going down. I am not fond of their collard greens or spinach either… well, the spinach is fine in that dip.
Good picture for the hunt… oh, and I agree, your sister probably wouldn’t like to have her picture posted looking all twisted and scrunched up by the buttermilk…. just in case there are some boys she might have a crush on that read your blog!
Have a great week!
I agree with you and I am glad that you chose to be nice!
Yes I’d agree, buttermilk just isn’t my thing either!
You know….
I thought that I liked butter milk.
But it has been years and years since I have drank it.
When I looked at the label my stomach did a little flip flop.
This is against all of my memories of the stuff.
Perhaps that the fattiness of it now-a-days compared to the 1% milk I get to drink these day, is setting my pallet to a new flavour.
