You know....
I thought that I liked butter milk.
But it has been years and years since I have drank it.
When I looked at the label my stomach did a little flip flop.
This is against all of my memories of the stuff.
Perhaps that the fattiness of it now-a-days compared to the 1% milk I get to drink these day, is setting my pallet to a new flavour.

My dad has always loved buttermilk and so does my mom, but I agree with you that it is really nasty stuff to drink. Now it IS good in cornbread and other things they cook, but you don't have to taste that sour milk taste or feel that slimy chunky texture going down. I am not fond of their collard greens or spinach either... well, the spinach is fine in that dip.
Good picture for the hunt... oh, and I agree, your sister probably wouldn't like to have her picture posted looking all twisted and scrunched up by the buttermilk.... just in case there are some boys she might have a crush on that read your blog!

Have a great week!

I have not had any buttermilk in years. The reason... it is just too darn gross. :-)
