One Spark Can Start it All

A smoke filled sky and flashing lights are my deepest and darkest fears. The one fear that you pray never comes true. A fear you wish to keep locked up for ever. The thought that if you revealed this fear, that it may come true.
Do you ever worry about being caught in a fire? Of course you do because this is a fear that most of us have but don’t want to think about, the same thought that haunts you in your dreams and makes you worry before you turn out your lights at night.
As the smoke alarm goes off you and your family rush out of your home leaving all of your belongings behind. You stand out side watching every thing you have ever owned go up in flames. Your old photo albums turning to ash right before your eyes and that same thought that you have kept hidden is now a real event.
As the fire trucks leave, all that you’re left with is your family. You step into the remaining of what use to be your home and wander through the ash, finding your old porcelain doll, and the remaining of an old family portrait.
What do you have left? Your family, but you have no where to go now, no food or shelter.
Life is too short; you can’t live the same day twice. Treasure each day as it were your last and cherish the moments that you spend with your family. It only takes one spark to start one flame and one flame to destroy your life.

This shows the fear of fire and I too have the same fears.
So we should all cherish each moment we are given, very insightful write filled with wisdom:)

Very well written, I have a friend whose house caught on fire about four years ago and she lost everything… I enjoyed reading this thanks for sharing this article. I couldn’t imagine what it feels like to lose everything. I am thankful each and everyday for having the things I have and a wonderful family to wake up to each and every morning.
