The Ugly Grandmother - She calls it Love, I Call it Being Selfish

I know you will probably think it’s rude to say this but my Grandmother is very selfish. She is not the kind of woman who will call on your birthday or get excited when it’s your first basketball game. I am very unfortunate to have a grandmother who doesn’t seem to care at all.
She’s the kind of person who will be a grandmother on Christmas but that’s the only time. Money can’t by love. She never has time to call me (so she says) or come to visit, sorry bloggers but in my opinion, she’s a witch.
If you were to see her in a photo, you would think that I am absolutely nuts. The pictures look so happy. But remember the term, “you can’t judge a book by its cover!’
Every thing is all honky dory when you’re younger, but as soon as you start to get a little bit older, she wants nothing to do with you! Just recently it was my birthday and to think, she didn’t even call me! Some grandmother she is!
If you have a Grandmothers that there and is considerate about your feelings, who will listen to your problems and isn’t manipulate, you’re lucky.

Well you convey you emotions very well and I’m sorry for your pian too.
I can see your grandmother thinks money will take the place of love, and not calling on your birthday or going to your first basketball game is just plain wrong.
So she is blind as to see what you really want, luckily you have a mother, father and sister that love you very much:)

Hey JD I read some of your articles they were really cool.
Don’t worry about your Grandmother she is from a different generation and probably finds it very hard to demonstrate her affection.
This more than likely heralds from the fact that she probably never recieved much attention from her
parents, its not you so dont feel so don’t take it as a direct rejection.
Keep up the good work and i’ll be sure to look out for you one day when your a famous writer.

It is all right to feel this way, I know how it feels when someone forgets about your birthday or a special occasion just remember this because it is what I keep telling myself every year on my birthday or on a special occasion that it is not are fault because she is the one that is missing out on us growing up. I love you remember that for me.
